it's been a long time i'm silent. it's nothing else, it's only because I was too busy the last time. i'm now preparing the syllabuses of the courses I teach. Anyway, i'm finding this stuff awesome. after all teaching is a nice profession though the wages are meager, it's the same all over the world i'm told!
the trimester is ending this 10th july, so we(teachers) are in hurry to prepare exams and have the pupils do review.
i'm sorry i'm not able to upload photos, i'd like to show you some of the scenes when i'm at work and especially, the juggling session with my club.
i'm trying hard to find a cable to use with my camera and i hope i'll make it soon, promised!!!!

Hi again!
I hope you have noticed it in my profile that my location has changed. Actually,I've moved back to my beloved city, Butare, but this time I'm not a student; I'm a teacher. This is my new experience in teaching in high school since the wind of reforms that has been blowing over the Rwandan education system has started. The reforms consist mainly about an English "hard immersion" and some reshuffling of the curricula. In my case, I found it quite amazing to move from an environment where you're not allowed to speak English (I'm talking here about the time I spent working with Peace Corps during this trimester) to another where English is the only allowed language. Many people, me included, thought it will not be possible but what i found is just opposite! Kids are speaking English like nothing, I don't understand! it seems like they already knew it and were not allowed to speak it, who knows! Anyway, I'm very happy with that and I wish good luck for the planners and the promoters of these reforms, because; had it gone otherwise, they could have ended up like the former Minister of Education with the brusary reforms two years ago!
